Hours after the 24 hours ultimatum given by Kano state Governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje to his appontes aspiring for elective positions to resign, Kano State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs , Murtala Sule Garo, has announced his resignation.
Reports say Ganduje in the statement issue late Saturday, Directs appointees aspiring to contest in 2023 general election to resign on or before April, 18th.
Murtala Caro is one of the leading Kano State governorship aspirants under the All Progressive Congress
Garo, stated in the resignation letter that it has been a rewarding experience working under the guidance and supervision of Ganduje since 2014.
In another development, Commissioner for Rural Development, Musa Ilyasu Kwankwaso has also resigned.
Report says Musa Ilyasu is to contest for membership of the House of Representatives under Kura, Madobi and Garun Malam Federal Constituency.
In an audio clip, the former commissioner thanked Governor Abdullahi Ganduje for the opportunity.
