AFAN President, Dr Farouk Mudi, distributes mobile phones loan to farmers

All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) in collaboration with Tingo Mobile have distributed Mobile Phones to farmers to enable them access cash loans.

Speaking during the distribution of the phones to the beneficiaries in Abuja on Tuesday, national President of AFAN Dr Farouk Rabiu Mudi said, the phones can be use to access inputs loans, Insurance, airtime, Data and lots more.

Farouk Rabiu Mudi also said, the facilities can be access through the Tingo Nwaasa app, using USSD code generated after enrolling as members in AFAN Data Bank

Reports say, the phones loans are given to all Departments of Agriculture in Nigerian Universities.

The AFAN President said this is part of the association’s efforts towards carrying all Nigerian farmers along with a view to boosting their productivity.

He urged Nigerian farmers to take advantage of the program by enrolling as members in AFAN Data Bank.
