Al-Nassr fails to win Saudi football Championship despite spending huge on Ronaldo

Al-Nassr club failed to win the Saudi football championship, despite spending huge to sign Cristiano Ronaldo, shortly after his departure from Manchester United.
The hopes of Ronaldo and his team to become champions this season came to an on Saturday, after their rival Al-Ittihad managed to beat Al-Feiha 3-0, which gave the club the opportunity to win Saudi League Cup, for the first time since 2009.
Ronaldo parted ways with Manchester United at the end of last year, few days after granting an explosive interview, in which he criticized the leaders of the club, and his coach at the time Erik ten Hag, accusing them of betraying him.
Last year, Al-Nassr spent 214 million dollars to sign a contract with Ronaldo until 2025, which made him the highest paid athlete according to Forbes.
With one match remaining in the Saudi league, Ronaldo has scored 14 goals for Al-Nassr in 16 games he has so far played for the club.
