The New Nigeria People’s Party Board of Trustees has imposed a six-month suspension on Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, the party’s national leader citing his engagement in anti-party activities, reports TVC News.

After the 2023 Elections, a brewing crisis of confidence has been quietly going within the party, with accusations and counter-accusations among various factions.

This has so far escalated into the suspension of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, who served as both the Presidential Candidate and National Leader of the party.

This development follows earlier suspensions of the national Publicity Secretary and several other members, a decision that the party’s Board of Trustees previously contested.

Earlier the Benue state gubernatorial candidate of the party withdrew his membership of the party citing internal crisis.
