The Kebbi State Government has distributed food items to no fewer than nine households affected by suspected bandits’ attack in Shanga Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
Distributing the items to the affected households at Tunga Mankera village in Shanga Local Government Area, Gov. Nasir Idris expressed dismay over the attack.
The governor who visited the village, sympathised with the families, friends and entire villagers over what he described as ungodly attack and assured them that his administration was committed to fighting insecurity to ensure safety of lives and property of Kebbi State citizens.
Dr. Nasir Idris, who was accompanied by the Emir of Yauri, Dr. Muhammad Zayannu Abdullahi condoled with his royal father over the persistent cases of insecurity in his domain.
“I am going to support the security agencies in order to curb the menace across the state most especially in Yauri and Zuru Emirates where cases of insecurity is more expose,” he said.
He applauded the efforts of the Nigeria Army and other security agencies in the state for their gallant and diligent exercise which led to rescue of several kidnapped persons.
Also speaking, the Emir of Yauri Dr. Muhammad Zayannu Abdullahi thanked the governor for the visit, saying that: “this is the first time that we are going feels the impact of the government.
“My people have been facing alot of security challenges, we seriously need the support of government and security agencies to enable people to sleep with their two eyes close and go about their respective farmlands and other normal businesses peacefully,” he added.
