Bandits’ Attack : Gov Bagudu pitiful with People of Fakai LG

Kebbi State Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, has expressed deep pitiful over the recent bandits’ attack in Mahuta, Fakai Local Government Area of the state.

The Governor who was on sympathy visit this Sunday to the Chief of Fakai, Alhaji Hudu Dan Malam in his Palace also met some IDPs to commiserate with them over their plight.

Senator Bagudu told the traditional ruler that he was shocked with the unpleasant news of the attack prompting his attention to come and show his sympathy over the obnoxious incident and to condole with the people of the area who lost their loved ones.

” We are here to sympathise with you and condole with you over the unfortunate incident that lead to loss of lives.

” This area had maintained peace for sometime except for the recent unfortunate incident.

“I am here on behalf of Kebbi State Government to show our sympathy and deep condolences to the entire people of the area via leaders,” he said.

The governor led special prayers in honor of those who lost their lives beseeching the Almighty Allah to grant them Aljannah Firdausi and quick recovery to the wounded and the return of peace to the area.

While appreciating the Chief of Fakai for savouring peace and giving encouragement to his subjects and security personnel, he assured him of the readiness of the State Government in taking additional security measures to guard against recurrence of the ugly incident in the area.

He also assured him that IDPs affected by the attack would be assisted to go back to their respective homes.

The governor walked long distance through Fakai streets to sympathise with the traders whose shops were raided by the bandits.

While responding, the Chief of Fakai, Alhaji Hudu Dan Malan appreciated the visit by the governor.

The royal father described the governor as benevolent and caring to the people of Fakai particularly in their period of distress.

” I have no words to thank you for what you are doing to district and my people, you remain indelible in my mind, Your Excellency.

“We appreciate what you are doing in security, your efforts in ensuring peace and security in our area is noticeable,’ he said .

Earlier Speaking, the Councillors of the area Hon. Bilyaminu Abubakar, Hon. Musa Ibrahim Maruda and Hon. Musa Magawata, the Sarkin Mahuta, Falke Anama And Marafan Fakai , Ladan Fakai narrated how the bandits raided, burgled and rustled cattle after killing four people in Bajida village and the environs.

They appreciated immensely the concern of the governor and the condolence visit.

The Chairman of Fakai Local Government Area, Hon.Umar Magaji also thanked the governor for the visit.
