BREAKING: Kebbi TCN Station Explodes

Birnin Kebbi Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) Station exploded mid hours of yesterday being Thursday against Friday morning.

The transformers supplying the whole Birnin Kebbi and its environs exploded suddenly when many residents have already sleeped up, before the exploding occurred, electricity supply was brought back because for over one day Birnin Kebbi is experiencing national grid collapse.

The incident occurred around 11:50 midnight of the Thursday against Friday morning, the electricity supply was brought back at exactly 10 in the night. But some area got electricity supply by 11midnight. So barely one hour of restoring the light when the same incident happened.

Resident who is a neighbor to TCN Station, malam Sule Shehu narrated that, it was around 10midnight when light was brought back because we spend one day without light due to national grid collapse, but after like an hour i just had of am explosion as it is a boomed exploded the next thing fire everywhere.

” Before 10 minutes people star weaking up and star shouting (wuta-wuta-wuta) at TCN transmission Station”. That’s exactly what happened. But we are aware that recently they installed new brand of transformers in the said TCN transmission station in Birnin Kebbi, it might be the transformers that exploded due to the errors in connection. But we are yet to ascertain the actual cause of the explosion.

Our correspondent, have try to reach any of the TCN officials when the incident happened but non of them could reach on phone because the incident happened mid hours of Thursday against Friday morning and up to the time of filing this report non of the officials is willing to comment on the said incident.

TCN source, who didn’t want his name to be mentioned, said after ascertaining the level of damaged of the said explosion of all the transformers supplying electricity to Birnin Kebbi metropolis and its environs definitely report most be released out to journalist and the general public. So please bear with us for now.
