Buni decorates CSO with new rank

Gov Mai Mala Buni of Yobe has decorated Mr Zakari Deba, the Chief Security Officer (CSO), Government House, with his new rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP).

This is contained in a statement by Buni’s Director-General Press and Media Affairs Alhaji Mamman Mohammed in Damaturu on Wednesday.

He said the state Commissioner of Police, Mr Haruna Garba, assisted Buni in decorating the recently promoted officer.

Mohammed said Deba was a Superintendent of Police (SP) before the promotion, and had previously served in various capacities, including as an Aide-de-camp (ADC) to former governor Ibrahim Gaidam.

The aide said Buni congratulated the CSO and charged him to remain committed to duty, adding that much was expected of him on the new rank.

He said prayers were offered to Allah (SWT) to bless the new rank and protect the officer.
