CITAD trains 40 on STATA software, reiterates commitment towards enhancing research and Data analysis

Participants at the just concluded training for higher institutions lecturers on STATA research methodology organised by centre for Information Technology and Development (CITAD) have applauded centre’s efforts to transform research analysis methods for a better results.

The participants that are selected from different institutions of learning across some states of the federation commended CITAD for coming of the training initiatives which will help greatly the process of research and data analysis.

One the beneficiaries from Gombe state said, he applied for the training due to his ambition of becoming a researcher, and luckly selected to receive the training.

’’I want to be a researcher and you can only achieve this through training, this is the first time I receive training on STATA, I learn new skills and tools for research’’

Another Karimatu Isha Maisango from Yusuf Maitama Sule University Kano, she said trough the training she is now more equipped with research tools in STATA package.

I learn how to treat data with the new stata tools in addition to the other tools I have, I most commend CITAD for given us this opportunity, it will really help in boosting research which will be beneficial not only to schools but also to the government on its policies’’

Speaking after closing the training, one of the coordinating staff of the center, Fatima Baba Kura, reiterated CITAD’s commitment towards enhancing the capacity of postgraduate students as well as higher institutions lecturers in the area of Data Analysis in order to achieve a good results at the end of their research works.

She said, when the centre open the application, they received about one thousand, and this necessitate the segmentation of the participants into batches and this is the fourth batch of forty beneficiaries.

At the end of the training, participants received certificates of participation.
