Citizen’s groups submits position paper to NNPP GTC 2023 transition committee

Citizen’s groups in kano, submitted a position paper on the the Kano state mutual accountability framework (KanMAF), to the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), gubernatorial transition committee (GTC) 2023.
The coalition of citizens groups, which includes non-partisan, non-profit making civil society organizations, prominent community inflencers, worked together with support from PERL-FCDO, collated a document to ensure sustainable development in kano state.
The KanMAF framework covers three thematic areas; Human Development & Demography (Health &Education), Sustainable Economic Transformation, Core –Governance and Social Protection.
The position paper was presented to Dr. Aminu Magashi health gubernatorial transition sub committee, Abdullahi Musa secretary GTC, and Ado Ali Doguwa member development partners committee.
Receiving the position paper, members of the NNPP GTC 2023, reaffirmed their commitment in providing all the necessary cooperation, to achieve the desired objectives.
Earlier, KanMAF was established to reaffirm the joint commitment and continued cooperation, between tKano State Government and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office – FCDO Nigeria.
The framework operates with a Joint Mechanism, to monitor the Implementation and Performance of the KanMAF, on Monthly basis to be co-chaired by the Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Planning and Budget and FCDO Regional Coordinator.
