Danmodi sworn-in as Jigawa governor, vows to run an inclusive govt

The newly elected governor of Jigawa state Malam Umar Namadi has sworn-into office as fifth civilian governor of Jigawa.
The swearing-in which took place at Malam Aminu Triangle Dutse, led by chief judge of the state, justice Umar Sadiq in the present of thousands Jigawa people.
Justice Umar Sadiq also led the swearing of engineer Aminu Usman Gumel as deputy governor of the state.
Speaking shortly after the swearing-in, governor Umar Namadi promised to run a transparent and inclusive government throughout his tenure.
Danmodi who begged Jigawa people to address him as Malam Umar Namadi instead of His excellency said, his administration will be based on his twelve point agenda as he promised during the campaign rally.
He identified some of the twelve point agenda as Agriculture, human development, empowerment, education, health, infrastructural development, environmental sustainability, patterned ship for development, public service delivery, Investment, among many other projects.
Governor Namadi also promised to continue from were the former governor Alhaji Badaru has stopped and complete all the ongoing projects in the state.
He described his victory as victory to all people in the state, urged them to support and cooperate with him for better Jigawa.
The newly elected governor also called on opposition to join him for building a giant Jigawa state.
