Freedom Radio Kano Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) extends warm congratulations to Muslims on the occasion of this year’s Eid el Fitr celebration.
The Chapel implores the Muslim community to intensify their efforts in sacrificing for one another, showing love, concern, forgiveness, and assisting the needy.
It emphasizes the importance of redoubling good deeds and continuing to pray for peace in the country.
Furthermore, the Chapel in a statement by its chairperson Aisha Muhammad Yanleman and Secretary Muzammil Ibrahim Yakasai, urges media practitioners to uphold their professional ethics while carrying out their responsibilities.
It also calls on the incoming leaders in Kano and the country at large, who will soon be sworn in, to prioritize the interests of the country and tackle the various challenges it is facing, including social, political, economic, and security issues, such as phone snatchers.
