Election Observer groups In Kano Commends INEC, Voter’s Conduct In Saturday’s Supplementary Election, Says Process Fair, Credible

The election observer groups under the aegis Coalition of Election Observers , (CEO) has described last Saturday Supplementary elections held in Kano as free, fair and credible.

The august body in the aftermath of the Saturday 15th April inconclusive elections expressed satisfaction over the conduct of the electoral umpire body INEC, political.parties , media and other critical stakeholders that took.part in the conduct of the polls.

According to the secretary of the coalition , Dr Ibrahim Baba , Mni, Saturday’s election conform with the best global electoral.pratice.

Baba added that though the poll came with it’s challenges that were surmounted to deliver what he said was free, fair and credible outcome.

The body of observers single out the outcome of the Doguwa /Tudun Wada Federal Constituency polls, stating that the peaceful atmosphere prior, during and after the election were worth commending.

He stressed that the electorate in Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency have shown maturity and sense of democratic discipline in the way and manner they conducted themselves , during last Saturday’s election.

He further said the voters in the areas were the supplementary polls were conducted have displayed examplary character that deserved to be commended, he urged that their conduct should be emulated.

The august group then appeal to the federal lawmaker elect, Alhassan Ado to extend an olive branch to the candidates that contested against him in the election.

Further urging the winner of the supplementary elections and all stakeholders to work hard to sustain the peace in the area

“We commend the political parties, their followers and all stakeholders for the manner they conducted themselves in Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency supplementary elections.

“We are appealing that they all.should work together to continue to promote peace and harmony. Baba said.
