Embrace advocacy strategies to address communities challenges – CRUDAN urges CSOs/Media

The Christian Rural and Urban Development Association of Nigeria (CRUDAN) urged Civil Society Organizations and media practitioners to apply use of advocacy strategies to address challenges in their respective communities.
The call was made by the CRUDAN chairman board Dr Patrick Katuka while speaking at three days workshop organized by CRUDAN and held at B. Nakowa modern Guest lodge in Dutse.
Dr Katuka who described advocacy as persuading strategy said, is far better applicable to achieve better changes in a communities and at various levels.
He said, the objective of the three days workshop is to teach the participants what advocacy is all about, it’s process, tactics and tools as well as how to choose better methods to advocate.
While making his remarks during the workshop, the North-west facilitator of CRUDAN Mr James Obadoah, urged participants to raise their voices towards recent challenges bedevilling the women and children in the communities.
James explained that, the use of advocacy and community mobilization process will save thousands of vulnerable women and children from suffering particular those living at rural communities.
He then urged participants to stepdown the training to other members of their organizations for achieving the desired goals.
