Epidemiology Day: Association To Support Kano Government Efforts For Healthcare Inclusion

Kano state government says it has extended healthcare services to remote communities with a view to ensure that population of urban and rural areas have access to healthcare services.

The state commissioner for health Abubakar Labaran Yusuf made the remarks while addressing members of epidemiology and desease control association of Nigeria including students of college of sciences and health technology at the ministry.

The commissioner represented by Dr. Ibrahim Adamu Gano, Program Manager Tuberculosis and Buruli Ulcer, of the Ministry of Health, applauded members of the association for chosing to partner with the ministry to celebrate the 2023 Field Epidemiology Day.

He said the Theme for this year’s celebration ‘Increasing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Field Epidemiology is in line with the Kano Health Agenda for sustainable development.

Speaking earlier, leader of the delegation Sulaiman Muhammad commended the ministry for it’s giant stride in curtailing the spread of desease across the state.

He expressed readiness to continue working with the government to ensure access to healthcare care for all citizens.
