Gov Namadi disburses 30,000 uniforms to female students

The Jigawa state governor Malam Umar Namadi on Saturday flag off the distribution of 30,000 uniforms to girls students across the state.

Speaking at launching ceremony held at Government Girls Science Secondary School Jahun, governor Namadi promised to do all his best to improve girls education is the state.

He said, his government is committed to ensure every child in the state has access to quality education irrespective of his parent economic status or geographical location.

He noted that, girls child having left behind in terms of school enrolment and retention in the state, the free education for girls child from primary to higher institution was introduced to bridge the gap and also support girls to compete with boys in the struggle for building modern and great Jigawa state.

Governor Namadi than promised to continue collaborating with donor partners, private and public institution, community organizations, civil societies religious leaders and general public in revitalizing the state education sector which is the biggest pillar in making Jigawa state prosperous and Great.

The governor also on Saturday recieved renovated class rooms for girls students by Zenith Bank at Government Girls senior secondary SchoolMalam-Madori.

He commended Zenith Bank management for their kind intervention and urged other partners to emulate Zenith bank for educational development.

While making his speech at the handing over ceremony, the Zenith Bank Northwest Regional Manager Abubakar Sleiman Gwaranyo said, the renovation of the school is part of their social corporate responsibility project.

“We chose to give our intervention in to education sector particularly girls child education aims at supporting the state government to achieve its desire goals of given access to quality and affordable education from primary to higher institution to all girls child in the state”,

” The work we executed in Government”s Girls Senior Secondary School Malammadori included renovation of 40 class rooms, Kit hen, Darning Hall , 5 block of toilets, 3 Laboratory, Mosque, Library and furnitures” Gwaranyo stated
