ICAN gets new excos in Jigawa

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Dutse District Society in Jigawa State has elected new Executives to run the affairs of the District for the next one year.
The new excos whom were emerged through concensus filled eight executive positions after their nomination unopposed.
Those emerged winners include comrade Umar Farouk Gambo as Chairman,Sani Ahmad Sulaiman Vice Chairman,Umar Idris Abdullahi, General Secretary, and Umar Dauda Assistant General Secretary.
Other new executives are Musbahu Inuwa Adam, Treasurer, Fatima Buba Aliyu Financial Secretary, Nasiru Sabo Idris Technical Secretary and Fatima Mustapha Gana emerged as Social/Publicity Secretary.
While delivering his acceptance speach, the new elected Chairman, Umar Farouk Gambo, expressed his satisfaction on the way and manner the election was conducted under the Chairmanship of Mal Bilyaminu Shitu Aminu.
The chairman who called on members to join hand together and move ICAN to greater hight added that, as the tenure of the Executives is only one year, the time is too short to make a meaningful impact without support and cooperation.
Also speaking, the National President of the Institute Dr. Innocent Okwuosa, who was represented by the Jigawa State Auditor General and Past Chairman of ICAN Kano/Jigawa District Society, Dr. Garba Muhammad Dutse called on new new executives em to redouble their efforts to move the District to greater hight.
In his remark, the Immediate Past Chairman, Dr. Ishaq Alhaji Samaila, thank Members and the outgoing Executives for the cooperation given to him during the past 29 months of his leadership first as caretaker and later as pioneer elected Chairman.
