On Friday, the Secretary General of the Coalition of INEC-accredited Observers for Governorship and State Assembly Elections, Alhaji Ali Abacha, held a media briefing at the NUJ secretariat in Kano. During the briefing, Abacha called on the Kano state Criminal Investigation Department to quickly identify and bring to justice the killers in Tudun Wada/Doguwa crisis.

The coalition aimed to provide an eyewitness account and clear up any misunderstandings amongst the general public, specifically the people of Doguwa/Tudunwada.

They noted that during the recent presidential and National Assembly Elections, there was no clear identification of the political parties responsible for the attacks in Doguwa/Tudunwada.

The coalition emphasized that Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa was not involved in any conspiracy to disrupt public peace in Tudunwada LGA with Bashir Dahiru and five others, as previously reported by some sections of the media.

Furthermore, the coalition urged the electorate to exercise their constitutional responsibility by coming out to vote for their preferred candidate in the upcoming elections.

They also offered their condolences to the families of those who lost their lives during the unfortunate incident.
