Kano Higher Education Commissioner Sponsors Free Medical Outreach To 3,000 Residents

Not less than three thousand residents of Kofar-Mata and neighbouring communities have benefited from a medical outreach program which was organized by the State Commissioner, Ministry for Higher Education, Dr. Yusuf Ibrahim Kofar-Mata, on Saturday.

Speaking, during the commencement of the program held at Sheikh Ahmadu Tijjani Jumu’at mosque, Dr. Yusuf Kofarmata said the essence of the program is to contribute his quota in alleviating the current hardships that people are facing, especially in the health sector.

He urged the beneficiaries to cultivate a healthy lifestyle and use the medicine given to them judiciously.

Dr. Kofarmata further disclosed that the program was organized as part of programs to celebrate 100 days of Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf.

“The main aim behind the initiative is to thank Allah for the remarkable achievements and success recorded by His Excellency, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, within 100 days of assuming office as Kano State Governor.

“I will use this opportunity to call on the good people of Kano to continue praying for the present administration to take Kano to greater heights,” the Commissioner urged.

The StentorNews reports, that the medical practitioners offered a various different services to the beneficiaries, which include medical check-up, diagnosis and free medication.

Some of the beneficiaries, Malam Abdu of Kofarmata quaters and Aisha Muhammad commeded the Commissioner for initiating the scheme which they described as timely considering the current predicament of economic downturn.

They expressed their delight and assured their loyality to the state Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, and appealed to other political office holders and wealthy individuals in the society to emulate the Commissioner
