Engr. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, the 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has accused Kano government of deploying individuals to obstruct the commencement of the collation process.
Kwankwaso spoke to the press at his residence on Miller Road, Saturday afternoon stating that “we have received reports about the ruling All Progressives Congress’ (APC) intentions to prevent collation from taking place, in order to lead to the cancellation of today’s elections.”
“We are currently in the lead, and it is evident that they are becoming agitated because they know that in any free and fair election, we will always emerge victorious.”
“They were involved in vote-buying this morning, offering five thousand naira per person, but their efforts were unsuccessful.”
“Currently, they are leaving the government house and going around with their hooligans, who have been instructed to disrupt the collation process.”
“We urge our supporters to remain vigilant and protect their ballot boxes, ensuring that these desperate individuals do not succeed.”
“We also call on the security agencies to maintain their neutrality and ensure that our democracy is preserved,” he charged.
Earlier, the Party’s Gubernatorial candidate Abba Kabir Yusuf called on security agencies to arrest chairman of the ruling APC in Kano Abdullahi Abbas for obstructing elections.
He expressed conference of winning the elections in a free and fair manner.
