Lawmaker salutes Kano Government for taking steps to fight drug abuse

Kano State government had been commended for it’s foresight in fighting against drug abuse in the State

This was disclosed by a member representing Kiru Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Usman Abubakar Tasi’u, in a chat with media organisations pointing out that the rate at which drugs are being abuse need a concerted and collaborative efforts with all relevant stakeholders to fight the menace.

Hon. Usman Abubakar Tasi’u, further stressed that considering the immense need and importance to address the situation, the State government under the able leadership of Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf resolved to renovate and rehabilitate Kiru Reformatory Institute for counselling and rehabilitating youth to be responsible for themselves and for the larger society.

He also said the people of Kiru are solidly behind Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf government in bringing succor to the lives of the people in the State.

The law maker likewise assured the State government of the people of Kiru to partner with the State government and all other relevant bodies on matters related to the development of Kiru Reformatory Institute
