The coming together of the Governors of the North West Zone to tackle the developmental Challenges the Zone faced is long over due! As it stands due to the interrelationships and integration of the Zone no single State could go it alone to achieve sustainable development unless through a holistic approach that would lead to the pooling of the Zones human and financial resources! For deploying community approach to tackling insecurity, Katsina State needs to be commended and for it to be a success other States in the Zone should follow suite by setting up similar outfit, such that would compliment our overstretched national security architecture. It is only when the Zone is secured against insurgents and banditry, that economic prosperity can ensue.
