OPINION: Ganduje’s Sallah Address; Shameful & Distractive –Baba Umar

It is heartrending to hear the immediate past Governor of Kano, Ganduje fakingly bewailing non payment of salaries for alleged 10,000 workers recently employed at the tail end of his administration, including those whose June salaries did not include the ‘questionable’ increase they benefited in the preceding month of May.

For clarity sake, Abba Gida-Gida is not laying off any civil servant genuinely employed by Kano State Government, rather is trying to put in order the state of affairs hitherto bastardized by Gandollar led Government, as well as investigate and establish the actual size of the salaries paid monthly to civil servants in the State.

Several conflicting data on the size of monthly salaries paid to employees of Kano State Government have been generated. Ganduje Government had on occasions mentioned different figures ranging from 9billions to 12billions or thereabout, as quantum of the salaries paid monthly in the State, but recent finding indicates far less than those figures.

The Ganduje’s utterances are nothing but shameful and distractive aimed at diverting the Government’s attention from the redress mission of rescuing the State from the ugly legacies bequeathed by him, his family members and few cronies. I swear in a sane society the likes of Ganduje should have been the dust of history long ago.

The shameless Ganduje sowed the seeds of all this mess that made Abba Gida-Gida to work all day and all night without stopping in order to return the lost glory of the State and by God’s Grace the good mission will be achieved. Kano will be great again ‘ Insha Allah.
