The two remaining girls of the Federal Government College, Birnin Yauri in kebbi State, abducted by bandits, two years ago, have regain their freedom.
Speaking to our correspondent, chairman of parents of the abducted girls forum, Malam Salim Kaoje said Safiya Idris and Farida Ka’oje were released to them by the bandits on Thursday.
It would be recalled that 11 of the school girls had been in captivity for two years. This year, after the payment of N100m ransom demanded by the bandits the girls were released in batches to their parents.
He said, they are still in the bush trying to make their way out to the state capital, Birnin Kebbi where they would be handled over to the State Government to examine their health status and other necessary thing to be done.

It is very heart breaking to note that our governments at all levels have become short of ideas of how best to tackle the menace of these Kidnappers/insurgents holding our villages and towns to ransom! One could imaging the horror and the type of molestation these our daughters have gone through, as some of them would come out with bastard children behind their backs! No amount of material consolation would heal and obliterate the hardship such girls have gone through for the last two years! It is only Allah’s intervention and final judgement on their behalf that could cleanse their minds of the horrors they have experienced! Our new incoming governments should do more out of the ordinary to protect the lives of Nigerians! Any thing less is an abuse of trust!
