– As Ganduje assures working to strengthen party structures
As All Progressives Congress (APC) National Executive Council (NEC) meeting comes in the next few hours, the in-coming National Chairman of the party, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje CON received All States APC Chairmen Forum and Confederation of All APC Support Groups who paid solidarity visit at his Asokoro residence, Abuja.
While the APC Chairmen Forum was led by the Forum’s Chairman, Ali Bukar Dalori, who chairs the party in Borno state, the Confederation of Support Groups was led by its Director General, Engineer Kailani Muhammad.
By way of strengthening the faith of the state Chairmen in the party, he assured that, “We know your problems and we know your challenges. As we are ready to support you.”
To show his happiness over the visit, the in-coming National Chairman observed that, the visit shows they were ready to work with him as the National Chairman, adding that, “We are so much impressed by coming to congratulate us in advance.”
In his intention to make the comply with modernity, he reveals that, “We need to employ technology for the running of the party. We just have to be scientific and focused.”
Ganduje noted that, it is the responsibility of the party leadership as well as followership to know the chemistry pf the party.
While lamenting why some political appointees not doing enough for the party in their individual states, he lamented that, “Some of these appointees don’t have good relationship with the party and its leadership.”
Emphasising that, his reign as the National Chairman would work on that for the smooth survival of the party.
The in-coming Chairman disclosed that, his administration in the party would be visiting states to purposely have dialogue with the leaders. As a way of strengthening internal democracy and deepening democratic structures.
Dalori, the Chairman of the Forum assured Ganduje of their total and unwavering support for the party to wax stronger, adding that, “Your Excellency we are assuring you of our total support and cooperation to successfully run the party.”
He assured the Confederation of the support groups that, he would work with them when he assumes the party’s mantle of leadership, noting that, “We are going to work with you. It appears that, you are very much committed to our great party.”
“It is our duty to see that all discrepancies, all obstacles and all misunderstandings are cleared away from the party. With your support we can see light at the end of the tunnel,” he assured.
According to him, by mere looking at the composition of the leadership of the support groups that paid him the solidarity visit, “It shows how focused and committed is your leadership and the productive leadership style you have.”
In his response the DG of the support groups Engineer Muhammad emphasized their readiness to always work together with the new leadership of the party, under Ganduje.
“Your Excellency Sir having satisfied with your style of leadership as someone who moved Kano state economy forward, we are begging you replicate that to our party,” he maintained.
