Yobe East Bye-Election: Buni, Geidam, Lawan drum support for Mustapha

Gov. Mai Mala Buni of Yobe has declared operation deliver-your-polling unit, to ensure landslide victory for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC’s) candidate at the February 3 Yobe East Senatorial District bye-election, Alhaji Musa Mustapha.

Buni, who spoke at Fundraising Dinner he hosted for the campaign and election of Mustapha in Damaturu, urged the party supporters and stakeholders to ensure landslide victory for the candidate at the polls.

He noted that the event underscored the unity and peace existing among leaders and stakeholders of the APC in Yobe.

“Yobe APC is one big united progressives and happy family. You can see that all our leaders and stakeholders have come together in support of our candidate for the Yobe East Bye-election,” the governor said.

Buni expressed the confidence that party stakeholders and supporters in Yobe East Senatorial District (Zone A) would not do anything that would jeopardize the chances of the party at the forthcoming polls.

In their separate remarks, a former governor the state, Senator Ibrahim Gaidam and Minister of Police Affairs as well as the President of the 9th Senate, Sen. Ahmad Lawan stressed that Mustapha was well experienced to represent the district at the senate.

The state APC Chairman, Alhaji Mohammed Gadaka, directed all stakeholders of the party to mobilize their supporters and ensure that the party wins in all the polling units in the district

At the end of the fund raising dinner, over N600 million was said to have been realised to support Mustapha’s election.
