Kano Pilgrims To Return Home Soon After Successful Hajj 2026

The Kano State Amirul Hajj, His Royal Highness, the Emir of Gaya, Dr. Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir, has assured pilgrims from Kano State that arrangements are being finalized for their return journey to Nigeria following the successful completion of the 2026 Hajj rites.

 

As the sacred pilgrimage draws to a close, attention has now shifted to ensuring the safe and smooth return of all Kano State pilgrims to their homes and families, where they will resume their normal daily activities.

 

In line with this commitment, the Amirul Hajj, accompanied by his Deputy, Alhaji Muhammad Mahraz Karaye, and other key stakeholders of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, paid a visit to officials of Max Air to discuss and coordinate matters relating to the transportation of pilgrims back to Kano.

 

Speaking during the engagement, Dr. Aliyu Ibrahim Abdulkadir stated that the Board is working diligently with relevant authorities and airline operators to finalize the return schedule.

 

“We will soon announce the official date and time for the commencement of the return flights for our pilgrims,” the Amirul Hajj said.

 

Also speaking, the Director-General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, reaffirmed the Board’s commitment to ensuring a seamless return operation.

 

Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle noted that the Board will continue consultations with all relevant stakeholders to determine a suitable and convenient timetable that will serve the best interests of the pilgrims.

 

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board appreciates the patience, cooperation, and prayers of all pilgrims and their families and assures them that every effort is being made to ensure a safe and successful return journey.
