…..Urges Pilgrims to Obtain and Renew Voter Cards

The Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has said that only Almighty Allah determines who becomes a leader, stressing that no individual or group has the power to install or prevent anyone from attaining leadership.

Governor Yusuf made the statement while addressing Kano pilgrims and Hajj officials in Makkah during a Sallah visit on Wednesday.

This was contained in a statement issued by Mustapha Muhammad, Head of the Media Team, Hajj Operations 2026.

Drawing inspiration from the Holy Qur’an, the Governor noted that while some people may believe they can influence leadership outcomes, ultimate authority belongs to Allah, who grants and withdraws power according to His will.

He emphasized that leadership is a divine trust and that Allah alone decides who occupies positions of authority and when.

“As believers, we must understand that leadership comes from Allah. He gives power to whom He wills and takes it away when He wills,” the Governor stated.

Governor Yusuf further said that he had submitted himself completely to the will of Allah regarding future political developments, expressing confidence that God’s decree would always prevail.

He also urged the pilgrims to ensure that they possess valid voter cards upon their return to Nigeria, calling on those whose cards require renewal to do so promptly before the expiration of the registration and renewal period.

The Governor encouraged eligible citizens who have not yet registered to obtain their voter cards and participate actively in the democratic process.

“You should have your voter cards ready so that you can elect leaders wisely and contribute to the development of our society,” he said.

Governor Yusuf has achieved a lot in his administration in the past three years, particularly in the areas of education, healthcare, agriculture, infrastructure development, human capital development, and women and youth empowerment.
