Triple “R” Kannywood Renewed Hope Initiative holds special prayers for peace, national security

The Triple R Kannywood Renewed Hope Initiative, led by renowned Kannywood figure Alhaji Dauda Adamu Kahutu Rarara, on Sunday organized a special prayer session in Kano to seek Allah’s intervention for peace, unity, and improved security across Nigeria.
The event, held on June 22, 2026 at the Aminu Dantata Trade Fair Complex, Kano, drew a large gathering of Kannywood actors, directors, musicians, scriptwriters, authors, TikTok influencers, and supporters of the initiative, all united in prayers for an end to insecurity in the country.
Speaking at the event, Alhaji Dauda Rarara said the initiative was motivated by the urgent need to support the efforts of security agencies and the government in addressing the persistent security challenges facing the nation.
“The initiative recognizes the daunting challenges faced by security agents across the country. This prayer session seeks to complement their efforts by seeking Allah’s intervention and urging the general public to join in praying for the success of the government and security personnel in combating this persistent menace,” he said.
Rarara further disclosed that the initiative has set up a standing committee under the chairmanship of Nura Hussaini, with Sharu Nagudu serving as vice-chairman, to coordinate continuous prayer sessions for the peace, unity, and security of Nigeria.
The prayer session began at about 11 a.m. with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by members of the initiative, followed by the slaughter of a cow and a ram, whose meat was freely distributed to members of the public.
According to the organizers, the sacrifice was dedicated to seeking Allah’s intervention in restoring lasting peace and security, particularly in parts of the country currently affected by violence and instability.
Participants at the gathering also prayed for Almighty Allah to expose and destroy all those directly or indirectly profiting from the killing of innocent people, especially bandits and other criminal elements responsible for acts of terror and violence.
They also offered prayers for a permanent end to terrorism, armed robbery, kidnapping, and all forms of insecurity plaguing Nigeria, especially in the North.
The event formed part of the Triple R Kannywood Renewed Hope Initiative’s broader efforts to mobilize public support, spiritual solidarity, and community engagement in backing national peace, stability, and security.
