Just in: Nigeria’s chief justice, Tanko Muhammad testes positive for covid 19
Nigeria’s Chief Justice Tanko Muhammad has tested positive for COVID-19, and is currently receiving treatment in United Arab Emirate.
Justice Ibrahim Saulawa, a Supreme Court judge, made this known today at an event to unveil the national headquarters of the Muslim Lawyers’ Association of Nigeria (MULAN) in Abuja.
His absent from public functions was noticed on Monday at the swearing-in of 72 new Senior Advocates of Nigeria.
Reports indicated that, his responsibilities was performed by the next most senior Justice of the Supreme Court, Justice Olabode Rhodes-Vivour who administered oaths to the new SAN.
